Washable pre-filters (GAB-Wash, or the metal GAB-Met for harsher duty) cost more upfront but can be cleaned and reused, which suits sites with heavy dust and sand loads and a maintenance team that can wash them regularly. Disposable panel filters (GAB-Air) are cheaper per unit and keep performance consistent because each change restores clean media. Many systems use a washable first stage to take the coarse dust and protect a disposable pocket or pleated filter downstream.
Replace filters based on pressure drop, not a fixed calendar. Fit a differential pressure gauge across each filter stage and change the filter when it reaches the final resistance recommended for that filter. In Egypt, desert dust and khamaseen sandstorms load filters much faster than in temperate climates, so a good pre-filter stage is the cheapest way to extend the life of the more expensive fine and HEPA filters behind it. Critical spaces use staged filtration: a pre-filter (GAB-Air or GAB-Wash), then a pocket or bag filter (GAB-Clean, AAF DriPak MAX), then a fine pleated filter (GAB-Fine-P / GAB-Fine-GI), and finally HEPA at the terminal or in the air-handling unit. Gabtic supplies its own HEPA filtration plus AAF Flanders MEGAcel II HEPA filters, MGT flat-type HEPA filters and ceiling fan-filter units (FFUs). The exact classes depend on the cleanliness grade your design or regulator specifies.
Particle filters do not remove gases; you need gas-phase (chemical) filtration. Gabtic supplies Purafil chemical media modules and WWT drum scrubbers for wet wells and pumping stations, refillable carbon canister banks for high gas concentrations, and blended activated-carbon and potassium-permanganate media that adsorb and oxidize hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, VOCs and odors. The media chemistry is matched to the contaminant you are trying to remove.
Mains pressure and roof tanks often cannot deliver steady pressure to every floor of a tower, compound or hotel. A packaged variable-speed booster set, such as the Armstrong Design Envelope 6800 that Gabtic supplies, holds a constant pressure on every floor and slows down when demand drops to save energy. Sizing depends on peak flow and total head (building height plus losses), so share the number of floors, apartments or rooms, and the tank arrangement to get a correct selection.
