Domestic water
Domestic water booster sets for compounds and high-rise buildings
Residents notice water pressure every day. A correctly sized variable-speed booster set keeps pressure steady on every floor and every villa, from early morning peaks to quiet nights, without wasting energy.
For MEP contractors and developers on towers, residential compounds, hotels and hospitals.

What a booster set has to do
Water demand in a building or compound swings widely through the day. The booster set has to follow it while keeping pressure constant at the taps.
- Supply peak demand at the required pressure on the highest floor or the furthest villa
- Hold constant pressure as demand changes, without pressure surges
- Run efficiently at low night-time demand without constant starting and stopping
- Keep supplying water when one pump fails or is serviced
What to specify
The points that decide whether residents get steady pressure for years.
- Peak flow from the fixture count or a demand calculation, and the pressure needed at the most remote outlet
- Number of pumps: duty, assist and standby, so one can be serviced without losing supply
- Variable-speed control on each pump, with a pressure vessel sized for low-demand periods
- Pressure zoning for high-rise buildings: separate zones or pressure-reducing stations so lower floors are not over-pressurised
- Dry-run protection on the suction tank, and stainless steel parts in contact with drinking water
- Alarms and status to the BMS or facility management system
How Gabtic supplies it
We deliver a packaged set that is tested before it reaches site.
- Sizing from your demand calculation or drawings, with the duty point and pump curves
- Armstrong booster sets assembled and tested in Egypt
- Submittals with data sheets, curves, drawings and wiring diagrams
- Commissioning on site, including pressure set-points and control settings
- Spare parts and service in Egypt, including for other suppliers' pumps
What to send us for a selection
With these, an engineer can return a selection and a quote.
- Building height and number of floors, or the number of units or villas
- Peak flow, or the fixture count by type
- Pressure required at the most remote outlet
- Water source: ground tank, roof tank or mains
- Number of pressure zones, if known
- Specification clauses or consultant name, and required delivery date

Common questions
How many pumps should a booster set have?
Most building and compound sets use two to four pumps sharing the load, with at least one on standby. The right number depends on the demand range and how much redundancy the specification requires.
Can one booster set serve a whole tower?
Often not without zoning. Pressure that reaches the top floor would be too high on lower floors, so towers usually use pressure zones, either with separate sets or pressure-reducing stations. Gabtic proposes the arrangement from the building height and specification.
Are Gabtic booster sets assembled in Egypt?
Yes. Gabtic assembles and tests Armstrong booster sets in Egypt, which helps with lead times, spare parts and on-site support.
Send us the duty and we will select it
